Buy a lottery ticket – for a small investment, you could win millions or, at least, thousands. Someone has to win, right? What a shame so many have to miss out on the prizes that only a few can win.

Marry someone very rich – the number of millionaires is on the increase, and there are more young people who are self-made millionaires, so there must be more opportunities to make a good match. This strategy is possibly not for everyone.

Write a novel – preferably a best-seller. Those authors make a lot of money, and some of it is residual – the book keeps paying long after it was published. Unfortunately, for every successful author, there are hundreds of thousands who never even get published, let alone become best-sellers.

Practise up on your favourite sport – and become good enough to get noticed. There are a lot of very rich sporting stars out there. Sad to think how many wanna-be’s there are also.

Become a musician or maybe an actor – some musicians and actors command millions per performance and are keenly sought after. Maybe some talent is required here as well.

Buy into a make-me-rich scheme – these are advertised on the internet, in newspapers, in magazines. They generally promise very high incomes with little effort and skill required, and a relatively small initial “investment” (which can still be hundreds of dollars.) It is usually a case of “buyer beware.”
